Chicago baby kidnapped in 1964 found 55 years later.

This is messed up.
Guy is 55 now and has kids of his own. Apparently his kids convinced him he was the baby kidnapped in 1964, so he took a DNA test to shut them up. His DNA matched the DNA of the 1964 baby.
His mother is still alive. She “reunited” with her baby in 1965, a year later, and adopted him. But it’s the wrong baby. Adopted son takes a DNA test in adulthood and finds out he’s not the baby.
WOW

This sounds ripe to become a made-for-tv movie.

Because it was the wrong person.

Chester and Dora Fronczak's son, Paul, was taken from a Chicago hospital when he was just days old. Shortly after investigators thought they had found him, but decades later, they realized they had the wrong person.
Now, if you get within a certain distance of an elevator or staircase on the maternity floor with a baby, alarms go off.

No DNA testing back then, so couldn’t confirm whether or not the kid was hers. They just said he had ears that looked like him. Go to the link.

This explains the story pretty clearly if you don't want to watch the video.
Really messed up situation. He has to come to grips with the fact that the people he knew as his mother and father his entire life actually kidnapped him. He probably loved and trusted them. Has to make you feel like your whole life has been a lie.

But several months ago, the FBI located the other Paul Fronczak in rural Michigan and informed him of his real identity, WGN-TV reported.
The man, who didn’t want to be identified by his new name, said he’s still coming to grips with the news of his abduction.
“I have loose ends to tie up,” the man told the outlet.

They put that system in a Ft Oglethorpe, GA hospital in 1998.
All these idiots were screaming about the then $600,000 cost.
In 2001 when it kept a kidnapper from getting a baby out of the hospital. None of them were screaming about the cost.
You don't have to stop but one kidnapping and the system pays for itself.
Kidnapper gets 40-year sentence

There was a recent case here in Jacksonville where a baby was found like 20 something years later. Stolen kid wanted to testify on the kidnapper's behalf at her sentencing. Couldn't imagine being in that scenario.

How did the kids of a guy living in Michigan become convinced their dad was a kidnapped baby from Chicago 55 years ago? What led them to believe it or how did they even know about the kidnapped baby?
