Sauce, how much did you pay for your Tacoma?
A hair under $35k. I shopped a while and jogged over to Mt Pleasant, Tx to get it. Truck had 1700 miles when I drove it off the lot. The guy who had it drove it for a month then traded it in for a Pro.

I prefer the look of the TRD PRO more. I've not driven either of those models though, so I don't have much else to go on.
I'd never buy a midszie truck though.

I guess you missed the part where I suggested he go elsewhere for an opinion

Unlike you, I'm not partial to one or the other because of ownership.
Why does he need to go elsewhere?

i like the taco more but like the idea of the 2.8L duramax.
I know the TRD Pro will be 5k or so less than the GMC.
getting annoyed because when searching inventory on car lots the dumbass dealers are posting tacos that aren't TRD Pros as them to dupe people. called 3 out on it this week.

Of course not, you wouldn't buy a mid-size period.

Because the folks responding wouldn't be caught dead in a mid-size so they obviously aren't experienced with them

These small diesels in midsize trucks make no sense to me. I just don't see the point. IF you need more power for towing than a gas midsize offers, you should probably be using a full size. The extra cost associated with a diesel just don't seem wroth it in this application.

That doesn't invalidate my opinion on them.

So that makes them less biased than you insinuated.

30 mpg on highway is tempting

You can get 29 with a Ram Ecodiesel, or 25+ with several of the gas fullsizes.
But fuel mileage is so far down my list of concerns when it comes to deciding which truck to buy.

This! I looked at some '15's when I was shopping, there were a lot of dealers trying to pass Offroads as Pro's. With the Pro grill it's fairly easy to walk to front of the truck and call them out when they say it's $2k too high because "it''s a Pro".

Terry LaBonte Chevrolet had a great looking Colorado on the lot when I bought my wife's Equinox. It was totally loaded and had the turbo diesel engine. Think it was close to $50k.

It absolutely does invalidate your opinion, are you dense? You aren't experienced with the vehicles or have the education to provide a well-informed opinion.

See above, your opinion is worthless and your biases lie with full-size trucks

I've driven both of them I can have any opinion I want regardless of the fact that I won't own one.

Nice incorrect assumption.

Then your biased opinion is less than worthless.

My wife's Tahoe and my father in laws Sierra are much nicer in my opinion.

Let me guess, LTZ and SLT trims or better? Not really comparing apples to apples.
