Ac was widespread in the 60s. These cars are from the 70's so they all had ac, maybe not standard in all but certainly very widespread.

It was '72, not '52....
I had to drive my grandmother's old '71 Impala, in HS, before I got a Supra... The A/C was the one best things about that car....
