Because the chemtrails are released at high altitudes, it is hard to figure out where to set up the equipment. However, scientists and other experts have tested the air underneath chemtrails and have found aluminum and barium in the air.

This is also a good explanation except you can't magically start up a "contrail" at the exact same place, but you certainly can start up chemtrails at the same place because you control the on and off mechanism.
