Go spend time with your kids- never the wrong move.

Post hourly recaps, of course.

We’ve been divorced about 10 years. New husband I do know and strongly think he and the kids are the driving force behind the invitation.
We aren’t buddies but we get along and while he’s an odd duck he’s a good person.

Just me and my black lab. Wouldn’t have it any other way.

Your kid is two and you're already divorced?

Solo tonight, tomorrow, and Friday.
Whole family is sick, so wife is out taking care of her parents.
This will either be the best or worst Christmas.

If its all good and amicable take the offer.
Ive laid in a hospital in Houston while the wife and my not even 1 year old daughter were at home. Her first Christmas i didn't know if I was going to live. Had to kiss my wife and daughter goodbye forever as they packed me up and sent me to Houston. Daughter was too sick to travel.
That was 15 years ago.
Go see your kids. Try to have a good time.
Merry Christmas all.

Yes. I shall not tarnish Christmas Eve with stories of her infidelity.

Sounds like something you should do. Time with the kids, a good meal, maybe some decent fellowship with the guy even if he’s a bit odd.

In the last few years I have lost my mom and dad, one sister is battling stage 4 and at MD Anderson and the other I don't really like to be around so I decided to Xmas in FL by myself.

Hang in there buddy. It will get better. Cherish your alone time and also take any chance you get to spend time with your kid. Whether it’s “your day” or not, if an opportunity presents itself- be there for the kid.
My first Christmas alone my kids were 2&3 and I cried for a week thinking I couldn’t do it alone. Now my kids are teens and I’m remarried and the kids love their stepmom. She just spent the last hour putting their presents out. While their cheating mom is home alone.
Life is a funny thing.

Thanks 08….hope you are at least making this night the best that it can be. Sometimes being an old tom cat is a lonely life and sometimes it is not too bad at all.
But it is the life we choose…
