My 5 min commute was still a 5 min commute but I live in a town of 1000 people and manage a catfish farm 5 miles out in the country

Same as every day. 2 minutes from the bed to the office with a stop at the coffee maker.
Leasing an office soon so that will increase to 5 minutes.

I made appointments today thinking I didn't have the day off. So I worked today when I didn't get paid to do so outside of commission and honoring my commitments

Screw that. You are spending at least 24 hours in your car per month just driving back and forth to work.

Same here. That's 10-15 hours a week spent in a car just driving to make some loot...not to mention the parking fees in ATL.

My team is spread out around the country. My only teammate in ATL moved to FL and that was when I stopped commuting and started working from home, about 10 years ago.

Working from home is great as far as not having a commute but it really does get old sometimes.
