We lost all three. Nearly everybody in our area did. Most of my family members lost everything, and many of my friends did too.

We live/lived off of River Road in Denham. My friends and family live anywhere from O'Neal to Denham, Walker, Livingston, Holden, and Albany.

All humans are ok, and one squirrel has been rescued.

Lost everything but the car, a couple go bags, and the dog.

Live off of 1019 and Amite Church Rd

My son had just bought a car last week, he rode out with us. The car is probably full of Amite River right now

I don't know for sure what we lost, but we left both cars behind (an Accord and a CRV). Yesterday at 1pm as we were leaving, the water was up to the Accord bumper. So I'm not optimistic. Our last payment on both vehicles is next month.

I'm in that number... Had to get rescued by boat 2 times yesterday and finally made it to BR. I have no idea how much water we ended up getting in my house and we lost both vehicles for sure. No flood insurance so it'll be a rough time for my family

Parents lost everything but one vehicle and the dog. Water was too deep to carry anything beyond the dog.

This is my dad as well. They were evacuated from a trailer community near Old Hammond/O neal. My dad had to leave his truck as well. They have no idea if their trailer is flooded or not.

He does have full coverage on his truck...so at least that will be covered.

They lost everything 8 years ago in a house fire and even knowing they had insurance coverage...it nearly drove my dad to a nervous breakdown. Talking to my dad yesterday and hearing him crying over the phone just breaks my heart. I feel so helpless out here.

It amazes me someone down voted your post. What a douche. The guys venting 24 hours of frustration and gets a down vote. Oh if you're down voting because no flood insurance in what's being called the 500 year flood then frick you.
