Can anyone provide any helpful feedback and/or experiences with either Airline Park or Metairie Academy charter schools in Metairie? Thanks!

Do you not like diversity or something?

The Charter and Private school systems are the reasons the public schools are so shitty.
Kids without money or the right last name suffer as a result.
Louisiana should have ISDs

Don’t listen to these dolts.
I have two kids at Airline Park. It is fantastic. No need to address the previous comments. The easiest way to tell if a school is successful, go to the parent orientation. Not enough seats for all of the parents that show up.
Parental involvement = HUGE step towards a kids/schools success.

TDcline.....for the record, by your reply, you very much prove the fact that you could have never qualified to obtain acceptance into these schools. You simply could not be more wrong if you purposefully studied the wrong information.
The Advanced Study Schools have ZERO to do with names and / or money. You test in. And so many people have their kids take these tests, the minimum requirements are incredibly high.

Charter schools are unconstitutional. Publicly funded schools run by unelected boards amounts to taxation without representation.
So LSU's appointed board of trustees renders LSU unconstitutional?

Airline Park and Metairie Academy are both excellent schools. If you can do the Airline Park/Metairie Academy >>> Haynes Academy track your kid is set

Last time I checked the parents that are sending their kids to private school are still paying taxes for public school.

Actually, The Univeristy of Louisiana System is established in a much more questionable manner than the LSU system.

Yea man, I get that. Don't be so sensitive.
They still detract from the public school system because all the good kids, or the ones with parents who give a shite (like filling out the mountain of paperwork for Charter) are all pulled out of the public school system.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want my kid going to school in the hood and I'm damn sure not going to be the one to jump on that sword. Me and mines plan to move out of state before he's school-aged. I'm just saying that if the private schools and charters didn't have so much power, the public schools would be better served overall.
