Charter on Northshore?

Looking at getting rid of Directv and going to Charter.
Any NS OT'ers have reviews on Charter in the area?

IMHO, the interface blows dick. DirectTV has the best one

The customer service and contract workers for installation are subpar but once you get everything installed, the cable and/or Internet are reliable. Price is comparable to other services. I have had it for 6+ years and haven't gotten rid of it.

I cannot complain enough to get rid of it. I value the local channels which directv does not provide, like the wwl rebroadcast. Also, I don't trust directv during rainstorms.
I like the Internet speed it provides.
I have the whole phone, net, and tv package.

I told charter to diaf two months ago. You can get local with just a regular antenna.

I've got DirectTV and Cox internet. Best of both worlds.

I've had directv for five years now and tired of it. We are moving to a new house in a couple of months and I saw a Charter van out front of it today when I stopped by to check on progress.
I've always heard that Charter customer service is terrible. I saw more LSU sports activities in the 90's on cable than what I can get on directs these days. I'm tired of that shite.

Charter is god awful. Their TV packages make zero sense. U Verse is 10x better if available in your area.

Stay with DirecTV and get Apple TV or Amazon Fire Stick so yu can get SECN+ too. SECN will shut Cox Sports down soon.

I have Charter at the office and DTV at home.

I had Charter when I lived in Slidell. It SUCKS!
Horrible and antiquated UI.
500 channels but half are regular definition, half are HD(sometimes).
No "whole home" DVR.
Slow hardware.
Weak signal when using on demand causes it to cut out all the time.

Don't do it. I made the terrible mistake of doing it and have regretted it ever since.
