You have to bear in mind that racial issues tend to be faddish, and I suspect we're seeing some of that now. After the Jasper "noose" incident, I saw a rise in EEOC claims that involved "noose" allegations (one was a Burger King toy King on a silk thread that an employee had on her desk).

About 50% of the murders in this country are committed by blacks. Of those murder victims, 40% are black.
So in 2015 there were about 15,700 homicides. That's 6,280 blacks murdered almost exclusively by other blacks (most murders are intraracial). There are roughly 1,000 police on civilian killings a year, of which 50% of the people shot are white. A liberal percentage blacks killed is probably 35%(I believe it's closer to 25%, IIRC). So we get the ratio of 6,280 blacks killed by blacks to 350 blacks killed by police (of various races).
This means blacks are 18x more likely to be killed by another black civilian than the police - and 25x more likely if you use the 25% of people shot every year by the cops are black stat.

but a reporter just released this picture regarding the guy that was shot in charlotte by police:
his wife filed a restraining order against him a year ago, one of the reasons cited for why he was dangerous is because he carries a black 9mm with him (not the same color and caliber he was found with)
but according to her, he didnt have a gun and was holding a book

I agree, but the facts you stated were wrong. It's completely possible that she misstated the facts in the report as well.

In addition to that, the gun that was found at the scene was reported stolen, and a man arrested for that theft admitted to selling the gun to Scott.
Guess we can all relax now, as I'm sure this new information will defuse the situation.
