It's happening hundreds of times a day.

Most have been done by accounts that have a history of making such posts and identifying themselves. The best they can attempt is the my account was hacked defense, but their history of posts shows otherwise.
My main issue with the way this is going right now is it’s basically turning into the Salem witch trials.

You could prove it wasn’t your account or make them prove it was your account. The person would be liable and may have committed some type of criminal fraud claiming he or she was you. If someone is pretending to be you that should be dealt with even if there is no affect to your job.
Regardless that is also not what is happening at all with these firings to the point that I don’t understand why you keep bringing this up. It’s a hypothetical that isn’t very relevant to what is occurring.

Yeah I really want to pay for an expensive investigation and IP trace to prove I didn’t do something

I don’t know what the frick you’re talking about because this is the first time I’ve ever posted this sentiment.

Might have been someone else who posted almost the same thing on this thread or another.
If not you I apologize for saying you said it before, but it still isn’t really relevant as it’s not what is happening with the people getting fired. Also, lighten up Francis

So does a world where you can be assassinated just for having the gall to invite someone with opposing political views to sit down and talk.
So forgive me if I can’t muster an ounce of sympathy for people who cheer that on and then cry victim when their private employer fires them. Boohoo.
eta: i notice you dodged my previous reply to you. here’s the LINK in case you missed it. still waiting. at any point, defend your position.

If you’re going to be a dumbass and say stupid things with your real name and picture plastered everywhere - then that’s on you & there may be consequences.
Plus I’d bet a million dollars that if you made a misogynist comment or said a racial slur or a derogatory comment to another ethnicity - these jackasses that have been fired would want your head on a platter

Foy is just pathetically crying out for attention.

Maybe. I dunno man. Corporate stuff is very “image” oriented and if your face gets plastered all over somewhere, you could get shitcanned just because you’re a PR headache even if you’re innocent. They’ll just tell you take it up with authorities.
Anyone with enemies in a corporate environment is at risk with this.
Edit: probably not even just a Kirk thing (people could fake anything), there’s just a lot of momentum and energy with this right now

The thing about Foy is he doesn’t actually believe half of what he says.
I’d bet you a cold beer if you dig through his post history, you’ll find him outright supporting or at least minimizing the UK’s overt attacks on free speech, like arresting people over internet memes.

And that topic is ackshully a sore spot with me - I don’t need any more proof he’s an idiot
However, I am out of beer

Talk about almost completely nailing it. Haha.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that many Americans saw a man get murdered in cold blood in front of them on social media this week.
You used to have to go to some pretty dark corners of the Internet to find that type of thing, now it's just commonplace.
What is that doing to us psychologically?

Know that it’s temporary, part of finite. Nothing to get too worked up about it. Humans have been abusing and killing one another for years. Maybe learn to live with one another, know that killing does nothing to benefit man and the infinite is peace, free of ego, and is only thing that matters.
