are the tweets about Charlie's daughter running towards him immediately afterwards true? because when I read that earlier, i had to take a break from this topic for a bit, it hit me hard in the feels.

They love hiding their faces because they know what they're doing is wrong

Yeah , I said this yesterday but the bullet placement almost definitely went through his carotid sheath, which contains some of the most important vasculature in the body. Yesterday I thought he went into decorticate posturing, but looking at the video again, he may have been in normal flexion (withdrawal from pain) which possibly indicates he did not have a spinal injury. It’s really hard to tell if he had if there was extension of the lower limbs. And I think I read just a second ago somewhere that he was having both ‘fountaining’ and ‘pouring’ of blood, which does indicate that the vasculature in the neck was probably transected.

There was a minimal chance he would have survived even if this injury happened in the operating theater. I’ve seen some carotid artery blowouts related to ENT cancers, and those had a remarkably low survival rate even with trained surgeons bedside.

I’ve gone back and forth on whether he had a spinal injury. If his neck was positioned the at a specific angle, the bullet could have transected the sternocleidomastoid muscle belly, going through the entirety of the carotid sheath and then entering the cervical vertebrae with minimal protection. It’s just hard to tell if he went into decorticate posturing or normal withdrawal from pain from the way he was sitting.
