I do both, charcoal when I have time, gas when I don't. If I charcoal, I also use woods for flavoring, which also helps.

Got a pk grill six months ago. Gas grill went to the curb for bulk collection last week. Can't go back. Chimney starter and pk ftw

I use both. I grill meats over charcoal, but I like to wrap veggies up in aluminum foil with olive oil and seasoning on the gas grill.

I'm going to build a new house in a few years and I'm definitely going to build an outdoor kitchen on the patio.

I agree on charcoal, but HH can't not make an appearance here.

Charcoal, anything else and you're not grilling, you're baking.

Baking and grilling transfer the heat to the food entirely different. The actual heat source is irrelevant. You can bake with charcoal.

Charcoal for flavor, definitely. However, after a long day at work I really just want to come home and push a button to start the grill.

Propane. Taste the meat not the heat.

As a long time pro gas guy, I switched to a primo oval xl a few years ago and will never go back. You can be cooking just as fast on charcoal as you can on gas. Plus there's no cleanup required every cook on a ceramic smoker unlike a typical charcoal grill.

Ok that's dumb. Same surface, different heat source. Like the taste of both but charcoal, even with no lighter fluid gives me heartburn and belch charcoal aftertaste for two days after. Wood is the shite if not gas.

My wife has mastered our BGE and hates gas. Both mine and grillwise.
