According to Money Magazine.

It's a suburb of Minneapolis, which we all know is a progressive, multicultural bastion of woke diversity.

quote:

The racial makeup of the city was 92.5% White, 1.1% African American, 0.1% Native American, 3.9% Asian, 0.9% from other races, and 1.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.3% of the population.

If you don't mind living in an icebox 6 months of the year that could potentially be burned out by Neo-Bolshevist BLM mobs.

Sure

No wonder they’re “woke” They don’t live near crime, daily shootings or the Hood. They probably think they are championing for the under privileged.

And 92% white ain’t multi-cultural.

I am not even sure I would want to live there. It is pretty much proven if you get too many white people together, they elect morons.

I am in that area right now on business. It's not that bad at all except for the widespread wokeness and temps in the winter.

If you visit in July or August you might be tempted to buy property. Never shop for property in Minnesota in July or August.

These same people go to lower middle class neighborhoods that are diverse talking about the lack of diversity.

If a minority moves in their neighborhood the next minute they have a cow.

Just sold a summer home in that area as my son and his family relocated to a Southern State for a better job opportunities.

No Thankyou.

Plus the long winters are miserable.

The article mentions good property values, very low crime, access to shopping and entertainment, new infrastructure, and great schools.

But it doesn't mention what conditions spawned such a Utopia. Can anyone guess?

Utah and Montana as long as it’s not near any colleges.

Speaking of women, the author notes that Chanhassen is run by mostly women; three of five council members, including Mayor Elise Ryan, are women. Half of the city’s department heads are women, too.

The city is also “figuring out how to welcome new groups” with census data showing that the city’s minority population (16%) has more than doubled in Chanhassen between 2010 and 2020, the magazine said. Still, the city remains less diverse than the state as a whole.

“We all recognize that this area is predominantly white,” Ryan is quoted in the article. “So you have to make that extra effort to make sure everybody feels safe and welcome in the community where they live.”
