How about this:
- quit your job
- enjoy things with all your time off
- don’t look for a new job until you’re down to your last thousand dollars
- then start looking
- start sweating and get desperate
You will quickly find out how great it is to have a job, and a stable salary

When you come to the point in your life when you realize that all of the things you currently dislike about your job, wife, kids, friends, house, and mainly yourself are never going to change significantly, then you can make progress by looking at yourself and making the changes to your actions and attitude that bring real peace and contentment.
Undoubtedly, it’s a struggle, but we really make progress when we see that we are the source of most of our unhappiness.

Life is a grind, love others and enjoy as much as you can because we won't be here for long.

It's like Maya Angelou said "If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude."
Find the positive in situations and you'll start noticing the positives more. Focus on those positives and they'll become what you appreciate. You shape your reality. It all begins with your thought process. Master that, and you will find contentment in any situation.

You sound like a miserable person.
Enjoy your self controlled misery. Fun!

Find a job that along with people you like. Would I rather sleep in and not have to work? Sure. However, I don't drag out of bed each day dreading having to go to work.

Jack Reacher Freedom Speech
Live off the grid like Jack Reacher. We need more people in the streets, and riding Greyhound buses.

quote:Great advice. I worked two jobs for over 20 years. Selling advertising made me money, and the other got me on the floor for NBA games. I got paid for both, and enjoyed both, but one was more fun. No way I could have made enough money just working games. Too many people wanting the same job.
a side hustle
As others have said, figure out what you enjoy doing, and work towards that.
