GHB sucks. The high isn't really worth the risk and it makes you feel tired, but you can't fall asleep..

Oh, it’s very worth it, especially for the price.

Combine it with meth and you can keep an MDMA-level buzz for 100 hours.

I am sure you were using it to treat your narcolepsy.

Well, yeah. I use to sell a cap for $2. Sell 2 water bottles in less than 30 mins.

Sad. I have followed this case from the start and the fact of the matter is that the Government got caught with their pants down and set out to put it at Chad Scott’s feet. The DEA had Task Force Officers (local police department officers being paid by the DEA) running amok and stealing drugs and money. No one cared because the guys were making tons of arrests and making the DEA look good. When they got caught, the DEA needed to blame someone. So they put the blame on Scott and he pushed back. . They kept going after him until they got him. You know how they managed to convict him? By cutting deals with admitted Cartel members and crooked cops to testify against him. They made deals with the very corrupt cops that started the whole mess. No shite that some dude in federal prison is going to say Scott did it if you promise him 10 years off his sentence.

The key allegation in the governments case was that Scott falsified a document related to a truck the DEA seized from a cartel member. They actually seized it in the Houston Field Divisions area. When he filled out the paperwork he wrote that he seized it in the New Orleans Field Division area so that he would get credit for the seizure and so that his guys would get to use the truck instead of the Houston office getting it. The government made a huge deal out of this because it is a “sworn” form. This normally would have gotten an agent a few days off without pay. Not jail time.

What was the turning point in this trial that wasn't in the first trial?

He has bigger issues coming in the second trial. This first trial was the weaker of the two trials.

I see Coman & Associates were nonchalant with only one witness called for the defense

The article states that the prosecutor slightly altered his strategy to focus on the questions raised by jurors in the first trial. Things such as: "How did Chad's actions inhibit the gov't from gaining lawful prosecutions"

That smacks of double jeopardy if you ask me...

I've never had any love for narcs, but that's sad, if true. If his own people let him take the fall, for the sake of appearances, it should discourage police officers from wanting to work for the DEA. I really hated how businesses had taken this attitude before I retired in 2010. The whole concept of perception trumping reality gets under my skin. It's the root of a lot of our current problems.

It's not....Chad is guilty and he is getting what he deserves.

Guilty of what? Lying on a sworn form? Because that’s what he was charged with.

I really need to hear evidence beyond the testimony of convicted felons who cut deals.
