Natchitoches is a great town to visit, but it’s got its issues. I guess from a visitors standpoint it would be an “A”. Farmerville is probably more of a “C” to me. The lake alone should have it there. I don’t know what the”S” for Ruston is. Like Natchitoches, Ruston has its issues, but there’s definitely a lot of building going on. I think it’s moving in the right direction.
yea anyone that ranks Natchitoches that high has not veered outside of the tourist areas. its poor AF in that area.

Lake Providence is the literal definition of hell. Zero economy. Speed trap where if your plates are out of state you will get pulled over. (Ask me how I know).
The deputy who runs the speed trap there is this short little old guy (probably about 70) who is a grade a prick. He straight up lies about speed and doesn’t even mark the radar portion of the ticket.
I learned that the sheriffs office is the largest employer and that the two previous sheriffs were hit with federal indictments—one for fixing private prison contracts and the other for providing firearms to a convicted felon.
A few months ago a deputy was arrested for “inappropriate contact with a minor”
These people are absolute scum. Unfortunately, our legislators are too busy flying around on Gordon’s private jet to do anything about this.
Also what I don’t understand—east Carroll parish is 69% black but everyone I interacted with there—the deputy, the “judge” and the “district attorney” was white. Can someone explain this?

Lots of traffic
Live in the country but on a lot with neighbors jammed in on each side
House prices dropping
Good school, but too big
No sewage system
Trashier than you would expect (in places)
It is a B.

East Carroll's sheriff, Wydette Williams, is most definitly black.
The DA is Jimbo Paxton, who presides of the 6th judicial district. The 6th JD is comprised of East Carroll, Madison and Tensas parishes. Each of the 3 are majoritly black parishes, and it's true that Jimbo is not. But he is a well respected DA and has support from all sides. And it helps that when the brothas go into the ballot box they conveniently see a "D" beside his name instead of an "R". That really helps..
Not sure about what judge you are referring to, but they likely have a "D" beside their name whether they really are or not....

I used to live outside Logansport, DeSoto Parish. State line with Joaquin Texas.
Only thing not falling down is the new bridge to Texas, because the old bridge…you guessed it, fell down. LoL

Jena above Farmerville? Why?
Farmerville is a million times better than Jena. If you have a nice place on the lake farmerville is a nice place to live. There’s not much going on there but a couple of decent places to eat, but depending on what side of the lake you’re on, it’s only 20 minutes to Ruston or west Monroe
