Central Arkansas: Part of the South or not?

The Little Rock and Hot Springs areas, specifically. I'm here now. Am I in the South? Is this middle America? The North? I'm not sure what vibes I get. What says the OT?

Since college at Alabama, I’ve worked in Houston, Wyoming, and northwest Arkansas. I moved to Little Rock in 2014. It almost immediately made feel more at home than any place since leaving Alabama in 2006.
