re: CDC warns COVID-19 may be a few mutations away from evading vaccines

The context is the fact that we've gone from talking about deaths, to hospitalizations, to cases, to percentages is a good thing and probably means we only keep talking about any of it because we're bored and life is easy.

why do I want to compromise my health further with an experimental mRNA shot?

So if being vaxxed doesn't prevent me getting or transmitting the variants

You are just continuing to reinforce my assertion that you were wholly invested in the vaccines. You were sold the lie that they were almost 100% effective. You blamed skeptics for being likely to cause variants, that would put your vaccine at risk
I've been on record for over a year saying we should never have locked down, stating vaccines shouldn't be mandated and do whatever you want, and also wasn't a vaccine early adopter as I was more on the middle to maybe even late end, and I got the worst of the vaccines, the J&J one solely because I didn't feel like going twice, one shot is fine.
You can't win em all, maybe you'll get your next assertion correct.

Yes but not transmission, which is what was being discussed when shel jumped in to tell everyone they were wrong

I agree. If only we hadn't let Ditactor Governers ban the use of Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine in their states
If only it hadn't escaped from the Wuhan lab, or better yet, if they had never created the virus in the first place.

75.2% hospitalizations
Please provide context.
Posted earlier.
quote:
As of July 10, about 21 per cent of of the population was unvaccinated.
That 21 per cent proportion accounted for 57 per cent of total cases, 75.2 per cent of hospitalizations, 83.9 per cent of ICU admissions and 84.9 per cent of deaths.
Of the 265 deaths reported in that time frame, 225 were among unvaccinated people, while 29 (10.9 per cent) were among those who were partially-vaccinated, and 11 deaths (4.2 per cent) were among the who had received both doses.
Meanwhile, Ontario is reporting 129 new laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases and five related deaths Tuesday. - Ottawa Citizen, July 27

You read that to shore vaccines are proving less effective or are you intentionally trying to play games with percentages?
Only 21% are unvaccinated, yet they account for 75% of the hospitalizations.
You understand that if 100% are vaccinated, then 100% of hospitalizations would be vaccinated, right?
You either are dumb ( I don’t think that to be true) or you are intentionally playing games.
To what end?

That comes as public health officials have confirmed that only 0.5 per cent of current COVID-19 cases are in Canadians who have been fully vaccinated against the virus, and as a resurgence in cases among unvaccinated populations raises concerns about the possibility of a fourth wave this fall.

Well, except for the 4 friends and family members of mine that were fully vaccinated and still died in the last 6 weeks.
As opposed to the 2 that died from COVID in August and October of 2020.

Except for the CDC announcement, but that doesn’t count because you don’t like their new findings.
Your obsession with not being wrong is something to behold.

Or a different CDC?

Severe disease and death just knocking on your door. 99% chance it’s actually just a DoorDash delivery knocking.

No one has ever proven you wrong, according to you. Just ask yourself.

And with that, you just failed with a gotcha again, right on cue.

Yeah, because you initially bombarded this thread with overwhelming, and vast, and likelihood of mutations among the unwashed, unvaxxed.
Then when confronted with the reality that the vaxxed are as susceptible, and as likely to pass the virus, you are falling back on the false data of 95%+ effective to claim truthiness.
It's no longer that effective. So no, you cannot now claim your initial contributions are based on facts.

Link one post where you admit to being wrong then. Lots of people have proven it so it should be easy.
I’ll wait.
