CDC recommends no gatherings of 50 or more people for 8 weeks

was that just an arbitrary number since you only need one infected person to be in the same room with one other person?

I think its more likely that number represents the largest number of people who would go to a biden rally so they think it evens out the race trump can only have 50 people as well

Important clarification in the announcement.

"This recommendation does not apply to the day to day operation of organizations such as schools, institutes of higher learning, or businesses."

I don't believe the intent is to shut down any place where 50 people may be present.
