Good to see that Bossier Parish has done things the right way.

As long as it doesn’t end up in Tangi as a sweetheart deal for JBE and his crooked sheriff brother.

It was never a sweetheart deal to JBE or Daniel. Their family owned a portion of a few acres that development would have went to. Tangi lost out on siginificant tax dollars.

Why?

Estimated tax revenue would go up to $21.5 million per year from $12.142 million in 2018

Because we all know that this tax money will go into the right places by our honest and great government that runs this state!

bc if we need the money from it, that means we've failed as a state. Let Mississippi have the trashiness

I would assume the middle of Vicksburg and Shreveport. Depends on a lot of variables. If they do something lame like no table games

Why would Monroe draw Shreveport or Vicksburg? They both have great gambling. Monroe will be about as successful as Natchez...draw only from within and the poor trashies who live on outskirts. This will not work.

Get video poker back into places like Johnny's Pizza or Taco Bandido like the old days.

The concern was that the expansion of gambling would turn us into a nation of compulsive gamblers. Instead, it seems that exposure to how trashy and pathetic it is has turned more people off.

This, I don't really see a ton of interest in a full blown casino in Monroe.
