Because for years I saw and reviewed the callout list every single day. They happen, but they are, relatively speaking, quite rare. I probably saw a dozen armed robberies for every carjacking I saw.

You say that and I get it but if carjackings ever becomes the norm here it would seriously be the last straw for many of those sitting on the fence. Especially if they happen south of I-12. They’ve already come to terms with the vehicle break-ins only because as long as you lock your doors you can cut some risk. The catalytic converter theft could have done it but it seems to have died down a bit.

Sadly, my oldest daughter is starting to look at colleges and I'm pushing Ole Miss or A&M over LSU b/c BR has become such a shite hole
