Yep.
No Chevy dealer will sit down to haggle with you if you will pay sticker for that Silverado you want.
*That isn't marked up as much as that used car at CarMax.

Saturn was one of the first to use the no haggle model. Sold lots of cars to women at inflated prices.

Every car I’ve looked at smelled like gas station air freshener.

Have sold three vehicles to them, never purchased any.
Wasn't interested in trading in anything; old minivan my wifes parents gave us, a 12 year old Lexus with a bunch of warning lights on and the youngsters small suv.. I knew I would be offered less than fair market value but when you need cash, cash is nice.

I've bought and sold from them. Not haggling is nice. I sold a car to them for $7500 that no one else offered over $2000 for and had a check that day. I'd definitely do that again.

Sold with Carvana, was a breeze

I've purchased 3 vehicles from them and all were good experiences. They don't have the best rates on financing though so it's better if you can pay cash or finance elsewhere.
My first experience I was able to test drive 5 different vehicles and make a purchase in under 2 hours. No haggling, the price is the price. The next 2 I was able to shop around on their website for several weeks until I found exactly what I wanted. One of those I had to pay $400 to have the vehicle transferred from Texas but it was worth it. Their website is very user friendly.
I highly recommend carmax
Eta: I've seen others mention prices 10% above market. That was not my experience at all. When I browsed their website I was able to find the deal I wanted and it was equal to or less than other used car lots. I have never sold them or traded in a vehicle with them.

I got an appraisal there recently, was actually the third time this year and it had gone to its highest point, from like $14k-16k. I thought 16 was its ceiling at this point so decided to trade it, they actually had what was looking for in Kenner. However I found another one from a dealership, they not only said they would match Carmax, they took the trade and just sold it right to them. It made the entire transaction so easy, and I didn’t even buy or sell anything to them

I purchased my truck from them in 2018 and my wife has purchased her last two vehicles from them.
It is as many say- good for people who don’t care for the negotiation process (which I don’t) but you will pay more. Guaranteed you will pay more.
But in the end, we’ve been really happy with our purchases and found the process of making the purchases really easy and pleasant.

No. Can you pay more? Yes. But guarantee it? Just no.
I’ve been looking at trucks for the past few weeks and have consistently found plenty with the exact options I want for cheaper than anything I’ve seen at a local dealership.

Yeah, people with this mindset are terrified of confrontation.

I sold a worn out piece of shite to them and probably got more than I should have. So I’m a big fan. If I was buying a car there I’d be cautious.

No haggle, no hassle
eta- this is not a critique of Carmax. I have no experience with them. Strictly commenting on haggling as a negative or positive.

Great place if you need to sell your car. Terrible place to buy a car.

Every car I have looked at at Carmax hasn't been very clean. It's like they don't even bother with detailing it before marketing it. Big turn off to me when I'm looking.

I bought a car from them for my daughter five yrs ago. Car has been trouble free and buying experience was quick and painless. I'd recommend them with no problem.

3rd party warranty, which is junk, or a manufacturer warranty, which is the only good warranty?

I have bought from CarMax and 100% would again. Highly recommend them
