re: Large SUV Preference - Titleist2121
We got a 2018 GX460 back in November. It only had 15000 miles on it. It was a lease that someone barely drove. It has the luxury package and came with all of the perks of a Lexus CPO. Practically got a new vehicle. I'd highly recommend....

re: Cam 2 Golf Course - Titleist2121
We played it all the time in our local high school league. It used to be Springview Country Club. All the greens on the front nine were turtle back and the back nine had some crazy elevation changes. Need to make time to get back up there. I always enjoyed playing it....

Santa Maria is mats on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. They put it on the grass on Wednesday and the weekends. Lots of chances for the old guys to continue digging their craters ...

re: Someone tell me about Carter Plantation - Titleist2121
One of my favorite courses in the area. I played about a month ago and it was in great shape then. Its a great layout with a good mix of hole lengths. You will definitely enjoy it, barring a cluster on the first tee.......

re: Carter plantation - Titleist2121
Played there about a month ago. Same situation. 9:10 tee time. Got to the tee a few minutes before and there were TWO foursomes ahead of us yet to tee off. Every single one hit two off the first tee. Marshal didn't say a word. We didn't tee off until 9:50. I asked him if this was customary on a busy...

Get out to the Hermitage. Both courses are SOLID. Not sure about rentals, but I'm sure they have them. And keep an eye out for the sheep!...

re: Santa Maria Greens - Titleist2121
Are they still punching with those 1" sized holes that make the next month like playing Plinko vs. the 1/4" most places use?
Yes. The guy was having to use one of those big shovels to move the punches off the green. Gonna be bumpy for a few weeks :wah:...

Santa Maria Greens - Titleist2121
Just a heads up: Santa Maria is punching the greens today and tomorrow (back 9 today, front tomorrow). They're offering twilight rates for the inconvenience. Proceed with caution ...

re: Driving Ranges In The Baton Rouge Area - Titleist2121
I'll say it again, people don't know how to properly use a driving range. They take out a 4'x4' crater when they "practice" and it never gets filled in (poor course maintenance) and never has time to recover because the ropes get left in the same spot. Hitting in a line for 20-30 shots 6-8" apart al...

re: Maui golf - Titleist2121
I played Maui Nui Golf Club in Kihei a few years back. The fairways and greens were amazing. It's not directly on the ocean, but there are holes with some great views. At the time, fees were only $40 (in August). Definitely worth checking out....

re: Which public course in BR has the best practice facility - Titleist2121
Beaver by far has the best hitting area. The chipping area is nice as well. Santa Maria is closer and has a great short game area, but the hitting area is always chewed up. It can get hard to find an area that has grass and isn't bumpy. The people out there need to learn how to hit off a range s...
