Get the guy in BR, LA Glass, or something like that, if that's the type of work he does.
You don't have to go to the dealership I don't think. I had one replaced years ago and didn't. But depending on the type of car you might.
If it's a Ferrari then I would take it to the dealership, if it's a '93 Toyota pickup, take it to a glass shop.

Yes go to the dealer. They will call the glass company over to fix it and upcharge you for the call. But, they will call for you so you get that service.

The only reason I would take my vehicle to the dealership is for warranty work or a recall, that's it.
