Car guys, 2005 Honda civic EX ?

Anyone with any experience with this car? Reliable, Gas mileage?
Stumbled across what could be a incredible deal. A 2005 model with 22,185 miles, guy is selling it for 8200. Supposedly was his Grandma's car and she just passed and left it too him. Garage kept the entire time.

you can get like a 10 yr newer hyundai elantra for hardly much more than that.

i'd give 5k for it, top dollar. Low mileage like that can almost be as bad as really high mileage. instead of excessive use, it's bad due to lack of use.

oldest trick in the book...they electronically rolled back the odometer Now, if it was a Cadillac or Lincoln, it would be a little more believable

And definitely get a carfax report to see if the mileage is legit.

One oil change every 4 years can't be good. Unless she changed every 3k miles, which would be almost every 2 years.

Its a civic, obviously its above average in both of those categories.

They only way I would pay that much for a 2005 civic is if it had 3k cash in the trunk. Also cars are not meant to sit for long periods of time and not be driven. Fluids, rubber, etc deteriorates over time and needs to be replaced.
And at the end of the day a civic with 22k miles is pretty much the same as one with 100k.
