Looking to replace my 2021 X5M and I drove a 2026 X5 M60i and it was kind of a turd

I wasn’t impressed by them when I was looking either. But there aren’t a ton of options.

What did you end up going with?

LX overtrail. I really need something off-road capable. Getting something fast and fun just wouldn’t work for me. But that didn’t stop me from testing driving all of them. And a Braptor.

I keep getting 3.99% emails from Keesler. I have 0.9 on my car, I think my wife is at 3.9, but those were both special financing offers from manufacturers.

I get it. We were thinking about the GX550 but my wife wants to stick with the performance SUV.

The sales guy was trying to tell me that the 2026 560i would be as fast as my M. I had my wife drive my car home and I drove hers home and it’s not near the same performance wise.

I’d buy her a Raptor R tomorrow if she would drive it

I went to get a GX but as much as I like the look I was disappointed in the build quality. The LX is built like a tank and it didn’t hurt that my wife thought it was a lot more comfortable.

Replacing a financed vehicle every 4-5 years with another financed vehicle is financial suicide, especially at today's rates.

If you go up to X7 instead of X5, they have 1.99-2.99 for 48 months right now.

Thanks for that info. I've got a "paid for long ago" 2013 Frontier with 63,000 miles (thank you Covid for working from home even now) and no major issues yet (jinx). Still, it won't last forever.

That said, I still have no intentions of buying anything new now.

The X7 is a little big for what we need and they don’t have the performance the X5M has. If I compromise it will be the X5M 60i or that damn GCL 63s.

Google “current vehicle finance deals”.

Then make a list from that list.

Then decide what fits your needs off the list.

Then go on autotrader and filter the exact vehicle you want in a 300 mile radius.

Filter price lowest first.

Start making calls

Where do I find one of these I am thinking about trading my wife in after seeing this?

I found mine at work. She walked into a 5:30 am meeting and I looked over at my boss and said who the frick is that. He said Rize don’t even think about it that’s your new HR manager.

She’s dragged me all across the country over the years following her career and I gladly pack up and leave everytime.

Just had to go today unexpectedly. 5.49% for 60 from Honda with 800+ credit. Seems crazy but from what I checked they beat my credit union.

Exact same thing for me a few weeks ago with Toyota,

3.99% at my credit union (825 credit score) but that is rare

Just bought my wife an SUV last month and just this week I was in my truck 5' from a pine tree that was struck my lightning so I am expecting a total loss and have already begun a search to see what I want.

I'll try to negotiate the highest ACV I can get (not expecting much luck) and just pay cash for the different for something to last about 4 years until we pay off the wifes car then go get more of what I really want.

I have no interest in going from no car notes to two car notes.

My local credit union is doing 4.99% for 60 months on used. Seems like almost every manufacturer has lower incentivized interest rates for new cars. I've seen everything from 0% to 3.99%.

Typically most advertised rates(0%, 1.9%, etc) are in lieu of cash rebates. And the low rates typically only benefit people with good to excellent credit, and really high amounts financed. Sometimes it’s better to take all rebates(reduces amt financed, pays less taxes) and use the lowest rate that you qualify for from a Credit Union, or outside credit. You will reduce the amount financed which will reduce your payoff should you want to get out of that vehicle in a couple years…

Interest rates are absurd. 820 credit and the best Acura could do was 5%.
