Whenever I see weird things at Canes, like this for example, I imagine a rogue Todd Graves bulldozing over his marketing department and demanding shite like this. I don't know if it's true but that's the version in my head.

They did a Christmas Story a couple of years ago when I was working there. Honestly it's as much for the crew as it is for marketing.

I wonder what that phone call to Hughes Entertainment was like to secure the rights.
Canes: “hey we’d like to do a promotional tie-in with Home Alone 2”
Hughes: “.... it’s 2017? I don’t understand but knock yourselves out.”

All raising canes stores have massive promotional posters and themed cups for home alone 2. Only a small percentage of them explain that it’s for the 25th aniversary (which is still weird) so it looks like canes is randomly pushing home alone 2 movie sales decades late
