Tim Wakefield's widow, Stacy, dies from cancer 5 months later after Tim passed. They did so much over the years for the Boston community.

What kind of shite luck is this?

frick cancer

Makes you wonder if there was some environmental connection there, though I have no idea if brain and pancreatic share any common denominators.

My wife had pancreatic cancer years ago. She now lives worrying if it’ll come back. I just don’t understand how we don’t have a cure at this point,

Cancer is out of control and oncologists are in short supply. The future looks even worse.

One of the GOATS that takes kids with cancer ever year on his dime. Horrible that this happened to his family.

Not sure how much Gary Sinise’s situation was discussed in the OT, but he just made it public that his son passed away back in January after a several year battle with cancer. He was diagnosed with chordoma back in 2018. He was confined to a wheelchair for a while before his passing.

Around the time his son died Gary had announced his wife was diagnosed with cancer.

He has always seemed like one of the good ones in Hollywood and always ready to support the troops, and though it sucks when anyone gets cancer I really feel sad for him.
