This isn't the Summer to be dragging your almost elderly mom to crowded places.

Maybe you should want your 70 year old mother to wear a mask.

Disney said they'll have certain "mask areas" but they will not be enforcing it with an iron fist. The limited park capacity will make it to where you won't have people on top of each other. Plus they will have zero visitors from out of the country so those space invading frickers won't be around.

You have that backwards. Was watching their presentation to Orange County Board yesterday. They will have certain unmasked areas where you can take a breather from your mask, but they will require it. I actually imagine they will remove people from property if they don’t follow the mask guidelines. Disney is opening up an entire month after Universal and SeaWorld, so they are definitely trying to brand themselves as the park who takes safety first more than others.

I don't blame you. That doesn't sound like an enjoyable vacation.

We had a trip scheduled for late June, we moved it to November.

I have no desire to go in November if these current restrictions / limitations are in effect.

I'm not as worried about masks as I don't see that being enforced once you are in the park.

It's the no parades, no character meet and greets, no fireworks, etc. I fully believe if they are limiting gate capacity, they are also going to limit ride capacity / availability as well.

And I'm not paying the super-high Disney prices for a less than full experience.

Disney has been using Shanghai as their prototype for measurements to take. The reason why they are cancelling the experiences is because they couldn’t get guest to social distance for this experiences, so they don’t think it would work. From what I’m hearing on my end, if they find it’s too difficult to keep guest wearing face coverings in the park, they will have no qualms shutting things back down.

Disney is not even on my radar as far as going to visit.

I’m going to the Virginia mountains in June or July depending on how they open up. The Wintergreen Resort is offering cancellation of trip up to 24 hours ahead with no charge.

I won’t go if I have to wear a mask to hike, play golf, or play Pickleball.

We are scheduled to take our 6 and 8 year olds in late-September. We had this same exact discussion last night. We haven't finalized decision, but I presume we will cancel and reschedule for 2021. All of the restrictions take a lot of the fun out of Disney. My kids were pretty sad about it.

I understand that. Again, I'm not paying full price for a less than full experience. If they offered reduced prices, then maybe I would consider going.

Interesting. There's going to be a lot of pressure either way.

The restrictions will discourage the scooter people from going. The Latin American women will be wearing even less clothing at the parks from being hot from the masks. I think it's a win win situation

Dude, part of the Magic of Disney is that kids transform back to 2 year olds well past their third birthday...

I don’t blame you one bit. The only benefit you will get is a much more empty park. Especially at first. I think magic kingdom will be at 30% capacity, so only 13,500 compared to days when its easily hovering close to 40,000. I think it will be great to view Star Wars land like that and truly get immersed in the land rather than be shoulder to shoulder with every damn person.

Seriously, if you don’t have school aged kids, look at going after thanksgiving but before the middle of December. That window is traditionally when crowds are low, Christmas decorations are up, and the weather is nicer. Not the weekend of thanksgiving, when it is packed.
