If you live in NOLA, move.
It's always interesting to me to hear where people who make these types of statements live. Not that I disagree with you, but when someone says something like this I immediately think "where are they living that's better?"

Yeah but at least those racist confederate statues have been taken down. Those things really hurt the city

To be fair, that's 7 more Saturdays than Waco can claim.

It’s a lot nicer than it was when I was growing up in that area

“Jefferson Davis...”
In the 1850 New Orleans Census over 2000 “Free Men of Color” owned an estimated 20,000 Slaves.
What are the odds Norman Francis’ kin owned slaves..pretty decent odds.
What they’ve done is replace a White slave owners named street ...with a black slave owners name
How’s that for “inclusivity”..

Where is this image in your brain coming from?
These pictures do not look like Port au Prince.

I'd rather not limit myself to two terrible options. But that's just me.

Which is why I don’t live in either place

The IHOP shooting doesn’t bother me because that was targeted. The murderers passed a lot of people during their escape, and didn’t hurt anyone else. They were in my neighborhood- a neighbor of mine turned in his surveillance videos. It was eerie but I don’t think I’d be hurt.
I’m more afraid of the drug dealers in my neighborhood. Not bc of the drugs but bc there are so many deals - I’m just waiting for one to go wrong

What do you think the current legal mechanism is to not "let them" do so for these business owners?

It's funny that people are arguing about which place is bigger shithole. I think that likely means they both are compared to much of the country
