I used to be able to do it without my fingers. Haven’t done it in years - tried just now after seeing this thread - couldn’t do it.

I can whistle at regular volume with no fingers, but I could never do it with my fingers..

Yes. Grew up in the country. My Dad taught my brother and I how to with fingers, so he could whistle and we would respond back with a whistle. We were never in the house so it just made it easier and cell phones weren't around.
