Can you speak any languages besides English?

I'm decent enough in Spanish to be conversational and do things like shop or eat by myself in Spanish speaking countries. I'd like to learn Italian and don't think it'd be that hard to pick up.

French and German. Can also read Latin.
I get rusty at all of them because I don’t have much occasion to use them other than reading. I like to read French. German not as much. Latin is sort of like a giant word puzzle.

I speak in cursive when I’m drunk and I really wish my wife would learn it because she gets pissed when she can’t understand me

I speak Spanish pretty well. I grew up with family who mainly spoke Cajun French, I could understand it but never really spoke it. Learning mandarin right now. Tonal languages are hard as shite.

Bad German and some Cajunisms. My wife is fluent and can teach 4 languages English, German, Spanish, and French. She can also follow and speak a bit of Italian and Portuguese.

Spanish and Italian, as I understand it, are more transferable to each other than either to French, although France is in between them. So, you're probably right. And, they tell me, once you have a pretty good grasp on 2 Romance languages, the others come almost organically if you try. I've never formally studied Spanish, only French, Latin and Russian. My Russian is very rusty.

If you know Spanish, it's an easy transition...just put fingers and thumb together in a point and emphasize the leading verb.
Srsly tho...it's easy...maybe the easiest language to "get by"
