I solved this one in .0001 seconds. Simple.

Nope, tried for a whole day once on addys watching you tube videos about it.

with enough practice, anyone could train their brain for that.

I hear CheeseburgerEddie can solve one at setbreak of a Phish show on a dose or two.

I can vouch for him--the rumor is legit.

No.
Just No.
It takes a lot of practice and study, but that's only part of the foundation of the ability to do it.
It requires memorization of large amounts of data, and the ability to recall AND apply it with seconds of evaluation.
Don't cheapen the ability to do stuff like this to make you feel better about yourself.

Really? All you have to do is Google and figure out the order of twist and turns... It's not rocket science. And yes. I've completed one using a similar site as this. LINK
Maybe before the lovely thing called the internet it was harder.. But anyone with a functioning brain can figure out a rubiks cube now.
No where near your asinine comparison to brain surgery.
Sorry you're dumb.

For instance, exhibit A:

I never could, so I took all the stickers off and arranged them accordingly

My grandfather could take a cube, which he would let anyone mix up, and solve it in under 2 minutes. Before he passed away he wrote down the moves to make to solve any cube.

I never could back in the 80's, when they came out. I haven't picked one up since.
Posted on 7/16/17 at 5:25 pm to CapperVin
Yes. It takes me about 60-75 seconds

I didn't say that merely solving a Rubik's cube was hard.
I said not everyone is able to causally glance at all sides, consider all moves, visualize how those moves will change the board, then make moves based on those visualizations, optimize the order of the moves for maximum efficiency, and then memorize that sequence so that you are no longer actively thinking about it so you can focus on moving your fingers as fast as possible, and do it all in under 10 seconds.
And to prove your point you bring up you spending an afternoon once WITH outside guides to help. Oh yes, you are definitively on the same level as that. You just don't have as much time as that
loser.
I mean for fricks sake, do you people not realize that "anyone" includes the fast food workers that can't get your order right/can't keep the shake machine running that this board loves to hate?

I would still mess that one up somehow
Posted on 7/16/17 at 5:37 pm to CapperVin
Yes once you learn it's easy.

I had a book that gave you the series of moves to get block A to position B. Memorized them, which took a good bit of time and practice, and was able to solve one in several minutes.
Then they came out with triangles and other shapes. Never did solve one of those.
