I currently live in Gonzales. I will be living in Baton Rouge in a few months after buying a house. Can I go to the DMV in Gonzales to renew my license? Thank you

Yes. But why would you? They are slow and inefficient.

Yes, and I suggest going to a DMV located in Port Allen or Donaldsonville (much shorter waiting time)

Last year I renewed online, on by birthday, driving down hwy 90. Found out later I didnt need to be in such a hurry because you get a 2 week window, but whatever, it got done.

yep, was 10 days following your birthday awhile back, it could have changed to 14 days by now.
also you can renew within 90 days prior to your birthday.

Best kept secret:

DMV place on Drusilla next to Rocco’s.
Takes 4 minutes.

Bunkie DMV is a hidden gem in Avoyelles parish. Most people go to Marksville and forget about Bunkie. There’s never anyone there and you can get a renewal in less than 10 minutes

It's a tag agent now. They charge an extra $25 on top of what the state charges you for license renewals. I know, I had gone there for my license renewal last year and didn't have time to run to Amite or Livingston.
