Can I afford to? Yeah
Can most of Americans? Maybe if they only get the necessities

Does anyone really want to? No

From clothes to food to everything in between. I don’t think it’s feasible, manufacturing is a thing of the past.

Can’t get phones or laptops or TVs
Can’t get cars (most aren’t fully made in USA)
I am not sure there are any clothes brands that are solely made in USA

Only mainstream brand I’m aware of that isn’t more expensive vs foreign made is new balance

The main thing isn't specifically made in the USA but at very least from a country where workers are getting decent wages and which has similar laws.

It's totally different thing to buy Italian made shoes than Chinese ones. You can theoretically manufacture shoes in the US and compete with Italy because you're not up against workers making a $1 per hour and just dumping industrial trash in the river by the factory.

Even if not, you still have Italians with decent jobs and many of those people take a family vacations to America. The money still circulates in ways that helps a lot of middle class pocketbooks instead of just getting sucked out of the economy into the hands a very few.

Yeah we “win” on consumption but we “lose” on employment.

NEWSFLASH: Americans have not been referred to as "workers" since the 80s, we are just considered "consumers" now.

Small American towns would make a resurgence if we purchased only limited items from other countries.

Lots of upside to buying American and spending a little more.

Follow Origin on FB, and your feed will be absolutely swollen with American manufactured goods brands.

We'd still have alcohol that's locally brewed/distilled, and ammo is produced
locally.

But otherwise, no.

Borderline impossible. A key ingredient for antibiotics isn't made in the US.

If you look hard enough and pay for it you can get New Balance 990s, and clothes from Union Label.

Ashley Furniture has a Mississippi factory.
