Can you debunk the "superhuman iceman?"

Pretty long video, basically a tv episode. Watch the first 3 minutes to get a highlight.
Have any of you seen or heard about this guy? He claims he can control his immune system. He climbed Mt. Everest in his shorts. He also had viruses injected into his body and stayed healthy. My friend is totally buying into it, but I'm still skeptical.
Can anyone debunk or explain this? He also has records in the Guinness Book of Records for being submerged in ice without lowering your core temperature for TWO HOURS. My friend has been doing the "breathing exercises" in the video because it claims to make you superhuman too.

I never heard of him
but the human body is quite amazing, if you feed it properly
and I bought the breathing book for mom a few yrs back, I only glanced at it. mom says she could feel a difference...but I dunno

Can anyone debunk or explain this?
quote:No he didn't. Did he film himself doing that?
He climbed Mt. Everest in his shorts

It just sounds like one of those things that's all in your head. I can't take it seriously.

It's in the video and there are photos of him "doing it".
In the video they show the scientists injecting him in their lab. I'm just super skeptical though.

This is why I'm skeptical. If you watch the first 3 minutes of the video, most of the things he does is highlighted.

Just curious, but what would it take to convince you?

I'd like to see him climb Everest in shorts, it takes days to do the final climb, weeks to acclimatize.

quote:A full video of him climbing Mount Everest in shorts and a video of him being injected with named viruses by a named doctor of high renown who is willing to put his name out there.
Just curious, but what would it take to convince you?

and that's ok...
I kinda figure it's a temporary case of satanic possession...no real harm...but there are some truthful elements within what's going on
not sure the objective
and I'm not all that interested, but I'll wait n see...

Says he climbed Everest. Did he summit in his shorts or even at all. And what viruses? Many don't do jack shite. Or have to enter through the respiratory tract to infect.

Might be a case of semantics. He didn't climb Mt Everest in shorts, he climbed Mt. Ever-Rest. The latter is merely a slightly elevated burial ground in Nebraska.

There are documented cases of monks surviving over night in the mountains in extreme cold by using meditation to keep their bodies warm. That is not very unusual.
The virus thing sounds like horse shite.

Would still die with a well-placed bullet. I'll take Wolverine over this clown everyday.

Chuck Norris' bastardo.
Move along here folks, nothing to see, return to your normal lives.

I have had my immunizations too, viruses have no claim here either.
