Can you buy new vehicles that do not have fancy computer systems?

I just want the basics from 15 years ago. The amenities I would like are power steering, ac, heater, and radio. Power windows would be a plus.

While I’m at it, I would like an old school dryer without all of the frills (sensor dry, auto settings). I just want to turn a knob and let it go. I suppose I’d like a better chime than the old school obnoxious buzz/clank; but I would even take that.

Both my wife’s car and our dryer recently had their CPU’s fail.

Buy a 10-12 year old Lexus with about 100K to 120K miles on it.

No.

All new cars are required by law to have systems which involve computers.

ABS, Backup Cams, airbags, etc.

Change the car battery and you have to bring it in to the dealer to reset the computer.

That's why I'm perfectly fine with 15+yrs old car. A/C blows cold and starts everytime, I'm gtg.

Same. 20 year old Toyota still chugging along. Think op was talking about all that infotainment crap on most cars these days. Like 15 grand worth of touch screen mood lighting, heated armrest activation and all that Jazz.

I believe Speed Queen dryers still have basic controls.

Recently dumped our fancy front loader for an old school washer with an agitator and couldn't be happier. Why fix what isn't broken?

Couldn't agree more. I bet we are close in age. I'm 54 and despise modern technology. I don't even like electric windows...I mean how lazy do you have to be to avoid rolling a fricking window down? Just another motor to break. It's all geared at making the stealerships more money with repairs!
