You sure seem to be an insufferable clown despite 75,000 posts.

What's terrible, besides him making a post when he could just ask the question in Google, is that he had no idea what the term was or how to spell it and just trusted some other posters spelling to call you a frickhead

That is terrible. It shows I am an obvious frick off.

Maybe I started this thread for discussion purposes. But either way I suck and a loser.

You need to change up your vocabulary a little bit to be less obvious.

Act stupid?

You think I am acting?

I am joking about this, long story short. One time one of my friends (obviously I don't have any and this is a made up story) was arguing with his girlfriend and she said "why are you acting so stupid". Dude was serious as hell and looked at her and said "you thinking im acting huh?"

Once the government decides to go full-blown imminent domain, they only have to offer market rate to get the property and the owner has no choice.

Government has become a leviathan. It's no longer for the people but out to serve it's best interests. Those interests being money, land and more and more power.

When my father sold a few acres of land, everything was handled through the contractor doing the project. Never once did we negotiate with the State.

So to answer your question, idk

You do realize that Eminent Domain is in the Constitution, right? While one could say that they have stretched their power somewhat in the rational that can be used to justify taking the land, but that power has existed from the beginning.

Provide you receive “just compensation”. We fought a war over this. The Revolutionary War. It’s one of the reasons for the fifth amendment.

Eminent domain. Welcome to high school civics. The government can claim any land for a public purpose provided they pay fair value for it. How this works out in practice and how fair the transactions are I am not sure. I'm pretty sure it has been historically abused at times, but I'm not particularly well versed in that.
