A sales person making your job easier has nothing to do with the value they bring to their employer. Congrats on them letting you be lazy though!
It gives them more time to do other things and thus being a more productive employee. What an asset you must be.

Better than being an ignorant air head like most of the posters on this site. At least some people try to become educated instead of having their head so far up their own arse they cant do anything but taste the big Mac and sweet tea they had for breakfast.

There's lots of times where people don't know exactly what they want, or there's so many products out there that they don't know where to start. A salesman helps them find the right product.
Sometimes they need ideas, a salesman gives them ideas based on their knowledge of the products and the industry. Our they keep in touch with clients with new products that can help their client.
And sometimes it's not as easy as just finding what you want online.
I don't always just wait for clients to come to me, there's lots of times that something new comes out that I think would be helpful to certain clients, so I reach out to them. Sometimes they buy what I'm selling sometimes they don't. But usually they wouldn't have known about the product in their own.

So a sales person making a procurement person at company A job easier increases the production of company B who the sales man works for?
You are truly an idiot

Then you’re stupid. Ask business owners if salesmen who leave take customers with them

I am quite convinced you haven’t reached your 25 birthday yet. Hell, I doubt you can legally drink.

Haven't read through the thread, but my dad is a dental equipment sales rep, I've never asked him outright how much he makes but I'd say he clears somewhere around $100K a year or more.
In the right field, sales can be a pretty damn good job.

Me too because I haven't drank my memory away to try to escape my dead end job, fat wife, or travel ball lifestyle
