I've learned that you need to have a gif on your screen for it to always be "active". You're welcome.

Even if they don’t have a background program, the phone systems, Microsoft teams, outlook, and several others usually have built ins to show if you are active or not.

For the early to work crowd, it’s a passive aggressive way to know who all gets to work early.

Yes they can.

The easiest way to handle this is to work at home the same way you’d work in the office.

Just send an email every few hours and cc in a few important people. Then you can go back to watching porn.

Yes they can Liz.
How long have you been doing this?
This could be a problem for all of us if they have infiltrated TD.

I have gotten zero negative feedback on my performance. Just curious how they can track what I’m doing

I get reports that show activity when my employees work from home. But I never look at them because I see their actual work so it’s pointless. I don’t think any manager in the company pays any attention to those reports unless there’s a noticeable drop in productivity.

Walk around and drink coffee for 3 hours, and 2 hour lunches, and non stop gossip about who is sleeping with who? That is going to be hard to replicate.

You don't even have to be a system administrator to turn a setting in to see when people are active.

I’m on two laptops

One (my own) for maps and spreadsheets and the other is my work laptop for company software.
