Or any form for that matter.

What is the worst that could happen?

Latino is a social construct.

As long as they don't put white, I don't give a shite what they call themselves.

As an ethnicity Latino stands for someone from Latin America, not someone that speaks a language of Latin descent.

For the record, people from Spain are not considered Latino either.

So, no you can't check that on a job application. More than likely no one would notice if you did, but that would be a pretty silly and unnecessary reason to not get a job.

They ruled most of the world for centuries. No hiring preferences for them.

what are they going to do, question your race/ethnicity? not in 2016.

if you have darker skin and hair, I can't see anyone questioning it. maybe im wrong though.

If I were of Italian ancestry, I would definitely put "Latin."

Latino has a very specific connotation. But, Latin is defensible and supportable.

Are there people that still think your race on a job application is important? You don't gain any edge by being a minority.

It also has a male gender designation which is extremely offensive. It borders on patriarchal hate speech.

Sicilians, easily, ha.

Also if any Italian can claim they're Latino, then Romanians can claim they're Latinos.

that's a good question.

A part of me thinks they wouldn't want to be grouped with actual latinos, but they love to cheat the system however they can.
