Sometimes the dogs that have had the shite kicked out of them make the best pets. They appreciate the person(s) who come along and treat them well and take care of them. They quickly forget the awful life they had before, and devote their entire energy to their new person. We can learn alot from a dog like that.

Don't let the negative happenings and people define or defeat you. Put your faith and trust in the good around you. shite will work out if you do. It may not be perfect, or as you would have envisioned, but it will. Take some time to think on it, breathe, and get back to finding that path forward. The OT will listen and help, you know that, even if it is the one who occasionally kicks the shite out of you.
