Fricking calculator won’t come up. I have 2 lbs noodles and 2 lbs of each meat. I don’t feel like pulling out the 5 gallon pot

Yes… I do probably 5 lbs between chicken and sausage and 2lbs or noddles in my 12 qt

I lied it’s a 10 qt. I have 1.5 of pork,2 lbs thighs, 2lbs of sausage

yes, you can easily fit 2lb noodles in a 3g pot

Actually only a 2 gallon

Be prepared to sacrifice a few bites to the Cooking Gods when you stir and stuff flips over the edge.

Are two cans of tomato sauce gonna fit too?

Just get out your 5 gallon pot. The real reason is you don’t want to clean it. Quit being a bitch.

Make sure the pork is the size of softballs so that it pisses off anyone who gets one

Convert it to SI units

Maybe, but why would you ever want to make a pastalaya?

We’re not all first round picks

I’ve never seen anything like this, people taking something so simple and over complicating it to death.
BTW… you don’t need a damn jambalaya calculator. You just need a little cooking sense. Why is this so foreign to people?

So what’s the correct answer? Fit or not?

It’s gonna be full to the brim I’d think.
Just fill it up as much as you can and if there’s extra save it or do a side pot

I’ll take pastalaya done right over jambalaya all day.
I make a mean one. I like the texture and flavor, plus I like it a bit wetter than a typical jambalaya anyway.
Don’t get me wrong a good jambalaya is good stuff, but I’ve seen many empty bowls from people when I make mine

Why am I measuring pastalaya by the pound in the first place? When you buy it, it’s by the serving.
A 12 quart pot will do 3 gallons of jambalaya or pastalaya, and feed roughly 30 people.

Could anyone on TD cook jambalaya or pastalaya without the calculator?
