doesn't really matter what brand you get. it's all about the type of cotton and the thread count. You want pima or egyptian cotton, highest thread count you can afford.

My wife bought us some linen sheets from Pottery Barn or some damn place. Cost us a few hundred, but God damn if they aren't comfortable.

Jersey sheets
They feel as soft and smooth as my Gildan t-shirts.

I got some great 1000+ sheet sets from Overstock.com I think I paid $110.00. But well worth it. I have had them for 6+ years and they just starting to show some wear. DO NOT GET THE SATEEN SHEETS! Get the plain Egyptian Cotton..

Jersey sheets are my favorite. They're cheap and have to be replaced after like 3 months. But for those 3 months they're the softest most comfortable shite ever.

All I got for you is that the more expensive sheets you buy, the more they wrinkle. This is based on my wife's opinion. I asked her "Why do you buy them then"?

They feel better.

I'm a TOTAL PRO on this subject. Pima Cotton is all you want. It's soft like velvet and gets softer with every wash. Macy's will hook you up right.

Bamboo is scratchy.
