Do any of you get double pictures when someone sends one to you? I get this all the time on my s4 and can't figure out why.

I had issues with the galaxy s2,but my note 3 works great. I just use the stock messaging that came with the phone.

i hated the go sms app. no matter how many times i turned double notifications off i would still get them like 10% of the time. it didnt make much sense. plus most of the pictures wouldnt properly import. it was little things but i didnt like it and was happy when the stock app enabled group texting.

Google Hangouts allows you to group text the "proper" way and it will likely be the stock SMS app on Android phones shortly.
When you open Hangouts, you have the option to enable SMS. Do this and you are good to go.
With the current stock SMS Android app, you can group text but when you get responses, they come in individually. That is not the case with Hangouts. It will perform the way the OP is wanting and keep everything in one thread.
