I certainly don’t hate anyone and I’m pretty sure no one hates me.
There are mentally unstable people on both sides. I think covid may have driven a few over the edge. But they typically stand out.

Obama being president made people fricking crazy. A fundamentally driven divider not uniter who was coached by radical anti-American activists. Then Trump was elected and 1000 political nuclear bombs went off. From Libs and garbage Reps alike. Because how dare you oppose the unigov.

The problem with this is that once you do that you are no longer informed as to what the government is doing and that leads to uneducated voters.

A main problem with this country, and western society in general, is that people are willfully ignorant. They like watching The Masked Singer and staring at their phones and playing video games. Ignorance is killing civilization and opening doors for autocrats of all stripes. The free exchange of ideas and respect for people of different viewpoints is basically dead.

I don't think it's sustainable. Once the people getting free stuff outnumber the people providing said free stuff, the providers will either refuse to do so anymore or just leave.
I also don't think that there's really as much hate as the media portrays. They're trying to divide us and to tear down society. American used to be a melting pot where people of all cultures get along and share the best from their cultures. Now if you do that it's called cultural appropriation.
I think there are larger forces at play to systematically destroy America and at the moment it appears to be working.
