Camera Recommendations

I'm looking for a camera with a good zoom that captures movement (sporting events, animals) without it looking blurry. What does the OT recommend that costs under $300.

Your iphone X camera is better than anything under $300

You're not going to get anything great for sports at that price point.
Under 500 you can get a starter DSLR kit with a 70-300, but you'll have to commit to lugging around a DSLR.

Do you have a link for one under $500?

It's easy to have a short enough exposure to keep your animals from being blurry.
If you're shooting sporting events at night, though, or in a gym (they are all poorly lit for motion shots), this is going to be really tough without a full frame DSLR and a lens with a wide aperture.

Things that will really help.
Lens with a wide (low) aperture.
Shooting at higher ISO (but not so high to make the pic grainy).
Both of those will allow you to use a shorter exposure and lessen motion blur.
Make sure the IS is turned on.
Maybe use a monopod, because even the slightest movement by you holding the camera is going to double your blurriness in low light shooting.

Look at Adorama or B&H Photo for a used D90 Nikon.

Under $300, you will not find anything except point and shoots. You can get the shots but they will just be snap shots, nothing of high quality images
