The most progressive, far left state in this country, home to the most progressive, far left cities.....
And you blame conservative finance.
Comrade Brannigan, your utter stupidity and blind devotion to your leftist faith is always a source of great amusement.

Together these have created an enormous tax windfall estimated at $26 billion that allows the state to enjoy an annual surplus even in hard times. That’s partly why, when Governor Newsom recently defended his economic track record, he predictably pointed to the new round of IPOs to assure us that the state’s growing billionaire class is “doing pretty damn well”.
It’s amazing how quickly the left went from hating on, to loving the “billionaire class”.
Sure, they still pretend to care about things like raising the minimum wage and hating “CEOs”, but the left is clearly the party of the rich now. Big donors, rich politicians, celebrities and athletes, big tech funded, and this quote from Newsome.

We just sold another property in California and the money hit the account yesterday.
Suckers.
Suckers.

Excellent read. What a great writer. Rare these days.
I lived in Mountain View and worked in Palo Alto, just as Google was getting started. The place was full of energy and had an other-worldly vibe, especially coming from BR.
Dickensian seems an accurate description now.

Isn't "trickle down" a term used by people trying to discredit that position? It's more accurate to refer to it as supply side economics, if I'm not mistaken.

I saw an article once where it said the median black income in Atlanta is $20k higher than in California. That's straight up, not adjusted for cost of living.
San Francisco is also the second worst city in the country for black student achievement. Only DC is worse.

Correct.
TARP isn't derided as trickle down even though it was a massive handout to to the 1%. But O supported it so it doesn't get the hate.
ETA: Also see the individual mandate.

Such a nonsensical idiotic statement. Eat your own shite and have a downvote, fricking moron.

NIMBY-ism is to blame here. The elites want it that way - they want all these draconian zoning laws and other ordiances/laws to keep the plebs and unwashed masses out.

Today's political alignment is elite caring intellectuals vs. idiot uneducated redneck trash, at least thats how today's democrats/media view it as.
It's why white suburbanites are now a bedrock of the democrat constituency, they aren't returning to voting for right leaning candidates any time soon.
People are primarily voting democrat these days so the government can protect us all from those idiot racists on the right who are the source of all our problems. It's why the northeast states like CT and MA have been voting democrat for decades, and now the white suburbanites in areas like Atlanta are catching on.

You expect people to read all of that?
Even just skimming the conclusion is clear. Progressivism does not work. It's a spectacular failure. So we'll keep pushing for it.
Latest example, CBO says $15.00 minimum age will oat millions of people to be out of jobs.
Yes, but it's fair and equitable not to mention very popular with our base. So full steam ahead!!

The progressives who control Biden and write out the flash cards for him to read want to bring these same California phenomena to the US as a whole.

What is California going to do if they ever lose their rank as "the 5th largest economy in the world." they love to say that in response to any negative attention they get.
