No, you wouldn't because you wouldn't know anything about it. That wasn't part of the anouncement. Go dishonestly virtue signal somewhere else.

I guess as a proponent for free speech in any form, a right the sergeant fought for, I'll continue to find disrespect personally abhorrent. Simultaneously, however, I'll be proud that we live in a country where the sergeant's sacrifice results in freedoms of speech we can all either agree or disagree with under the law.

Grown adult air travelers can all turn into massive dickholes while traveling - regardless of political leaning.

They didn't know why the family was being let off first, but who the hell cares? Just chill for a second. Whether this was a military family or not, is that 30 seconds going to ruin your day? I can't stand people who think their time is so fricking valuable compared to the rest of us.

The title is a bit misleading because it makes it seem as if they were booed because they were the family of a soldier killed in Afghanistan, but with that said, the captain did inform everyone they were a special military family so frick those jackasses in first class complaining over the fact they paid for first class and were pissed because this family was able to leave the plane. If you don't like the fact this family was able to leave off the plane then don't fly first class next time.

Thats my guess.

I highly doubt passengers knew the reason and were booing. I guess they just knew it was a delay.

Thank god i wasn't on that flight. I would be in jail for assaulting those booing passengers.

frick them and I hope they die in a plane crash. Because being at the nose of the plane means they will die first.

Doesn't matter. Shitty social behavior is still shitty. First class seats don't mean first class people.

Were they booed because of anti-military sentiment, or because first class people were rustled they had to wait to deplane? Article makes it sound like the latter.

Obviously disgusting and disrespectful regardless.

Sounds like they were complaining because they were being delayed for an unknown reason. It was disrespectful but I doubt they would've booed if they knew the reason

The way I read it, the Captain announced "A Special Military Family" needed to deplane first, without mentioning other reasons. The right move IMO.

That should have been enough for anyone to recognize it's a military reason and be patient for 30 seconds while one family deplanes ahead of you.

I agree I'm just saying I don't think they were booing a dead soldier intentionally
